Sweet Grace Designs

Another early morning

Well he, Sawyer, waited until 5 am to get up today, lol!  I sewed buttons on 5 outfits and made two pairs of leggings for Grace. 

This afternoon I made apricot jam with my mom.  How I love jam but ohhh how I hate the sticky mess that my kitchen becomes.  Now you can't have jam without bread and we were out, unless you count two stale hotdog buns.  Being the homebody that I am I certainly didn't want to run into town soooooo...out came the wheat grinder to grind fresh flour (yes we were out of that too, lol!) and I made a batch of bread.  Problem with a sticky kitchen when you grind wheat is all that flour dust is now stuck in the jam residue. The only good thing about all this is that my husband is working late and maybe if I quit playin' around around on the computer I can get it cleaned up before he wonders what exploded in the kitchen, heehee

Tomorrow it is homemade toast and jam for breakfast...almost makes it worth getting up at the unholy hour of 5am!

The good news...and the bad!

Well the bad news is that baby Sawyer got up at 4:45 am this morning.  The good news is that after a 5am breafast he was perfectly content to play on the floor of my sewing room for the next hour till Grace got up.  I finished two dresses to list on etsy...here is a sneek peek!

Now I think I need a nap!!!

This first is called Forest Friends and is in baby wale corduroy.  The second is Ginger Flannel, a most luscious flannel from Michael Miller...love it!  They both go on etsy tomorrow.

WhoooHooo I have a BLOG!

Well here I am, bloggin' away!  I am Kim of Sweet Grace Designs.  I have 5 kiddos, a husband, a farm, a design business, and now a blog!  I have only had a cell phone for a month so technologically speaking I'm moving at light speed.

This Blog will mostly be devoted to keeping you all up to date on what is new and exciting at Sweet Grace Designs as well as my musing, stray thoughts, and those occasional flashes of genius that we all have!

I hope this will be fun...if not I'm pullin' the plug!
