Why is it that vacation is sooo exhausting? Could it be the unpacking, the laundry and the general getting back to life? Hmmm makes one wonder if is all worth it...since we keep doing it I'm gonna guess yes it is.
We went to a waterpark in the town we lived in when we were first married. My sweet hubby picked this park because it had one of those new fangled perpetual waves for 'surfing'. It is called surfing but it is more like snowboarding on water without all the protective clothing. I don't know how many young (and not so young) women came off giggling because they either lost their top or bottom swimsuit...ok yes I did see one very white hind-end of a large older gentleman but its a mental picture I'm trying to erase!
Did you try? I here you asking...He!! no. I am far to modest, old, and just plain boring for this kind of foolishness. Hubby on the other tried till he was sore and bruised but at last triumphant. He didn't do any 360's or anything but finally got the hang of it long enough to say he did it...before he was knocked over and unceromoniously dumped out!
One small side note about this park is that it is the place I worked at as a lifeguard when I was a just married. As I watched all the young, skinny, tan, and attractive lifeguards walking around with their lifeguard attitudes I was torn between being envious of their youth and beauty or being wickedly amused knowing that after a few years, a few babies, and and life in general that they will be middle aged, a little soft around the middle, and wouldn't be caught dead in outfits that skimpy, lol!
I am now back to sewing. I will be introducing my new line of 'Gracie' dresses next week...they have aprons!
