Every time I drive down our road to get the mail and pass this I say to myself.
Ughhh I forgot my camera again...drat!
So when I went for the mail the other day...our mailboxes are down the hill across the creek in case you were wondering.
If you weren't...well hmmm not quite sure what to do about that.
Anyway as I stood by my mailbox, which was full of bills and toy catalogs, here is what my camera saw...
This is an old maple tree with wonderful dark bark and crimson finely toothed leaves. There was a low hanging fog in the background and this wonderful stark white fence that my elderly neighbor built decades ago, which has white lights along it for Christmas, which I love. Anyway I went to get the mail and remembered my camera and I love this shot.
So if you learn nothing else here ever...well besides how camel poo is good for cucumbers or how easy it is to roast peppers on the bbq or how the Humane Society can stock your whole farm...besides those very important thing No you must learn this my dear friends...
Always, always take your camera.
You just never know what you might capture!

How the Humane Society can stock your whole farm.:):)

Mike...I have gotten all our goats, sheep, rabbits, and a llama from the Humane Society. I have left my name there to give me a call when farm type animals come in. It is very hard for them to get rid of these so I get a lot of calls sometimes! The camel I will admit was on purpose, not sure anyone could get one of those at the pound, lol!

I always have a camera with me, even to the grocery store, as you just never know when that "Kodak moment" will happen.

Yet another beautifull photo.
The tree is beautiful, but the fence...to die for. I've been looking for fence inspriation. Don't know if I am brave enough to fence the whole farm with such a stunning fence, but the bit near the house...? Probably!
Thanks for the lesson and the inspiration!

That is a beautiful tree. An especially nice shot with the white fence and the mist.

Lovely! I think the thing I miss most from our pre-Alaska days is the fall color show every autumn. We get some yellows, but not much more than that.
And you just had your first hard frost? *sigh* It was -6 degrees here last night...

Good advice. And so true. It always seems like the neatest things are around when I DON"T have my camera with.
