We all know that when God throws the genetic dice you never know what you will get!
Just as there are people that are tall and willowy with perfect cheekbones and perky breasts...there are also the supermodel types on a farm.
The chicken yard has those hens that turn all the rooster's heads. Llamas rank higher on the attractive scale than camels. Then there are turkeys...well we will discuss them later
This summer our farm has a new star. An animal so adorable that he makes people stop, stare and then exclaim...
"That is the cutest animal I have ever seen!"
All the other animals are crazy with jealousy. The place is in an uproar!
The fuss is all over a little guy named Ollie our lionhead, which is an exceptionally cute breed of rabbit.
If I was doing a rabbit review I would have to say "...silky smooth fur that is long and luxurious. Perfectly pink nose that matches his ears precisely. Sweet disposition. Two tone coat that is all the rage this season..."
Ever bit of him is adorable...look at those ears. Even I have been smitten...
It is hard for the ummmm...less attractive animals to deal with this new addition.
They fall into two groups, the admirers or groupies and the others that are jealous and angry that an animal such as this has been introduced into their world.
The turkeys are the most envious of all. They have never had another stop and stare in admiration of them. In fact with that head...
May we just talk about a turkey's head for a moment? Not that I'm questioning God's design drawings or anything but seriously...
Any parent that has changed a baby boy's diaper in a cold room or any wife that has seen her husband emerge from skinny dipping in a cold mountain lake knows exactly what I'm saying.
I wonder what was going through the big guy's head when He decided to make a turkey's head look like a...well...OK for the sake of modesty and search engine keywords lets just say it rhythms with 'totem'...ahem.
Enough said.
All the hecklers and swooning admirers are just going to have to deal with living in the presence of a superstar!
Welcome to the funny farm little Ollie!
Can I have your autograph?
