Even after as many kids as I've had, this is one thing that little ones can do that simply astounds me...
How can one go to sleep mid meal?
I don't mean when you are done and lay your head down on the table and take a little snooze...
No I mean mid-bite...asleep while chewing...
How can that happen???
Baby Boy had a nectarine in his mouth and one in his hand...
I looked over and he was asleep...still chewing.
In fact he ended up eating the other slice before he started to droop.
I caught him within a hair's breadth of hitting the tray on his way down.
All the while he kept sleeping...
I wiped his sticky face and hands.
He kept sleeping...
I put him on the couch and he slept for another hour!
When someone coined the expression "sleep like a baby"
It must have been a parent watching their kid sleep while chewing because no one in this world can sleep quite like a little one can!
