Well I got another call last week from the Humane Society (more humane society stories, goats and sheep)...another bunny needed a home. This time it was "a big black fellow". Last week was super hot here so they needed someone to take him home and keep him cool. So off the kids and I went to get the 2nd bunny in as many weeks. That makes three bunnies in 5 weeks that have moved onto the funny farm.
Here is a picture of Maggie...number 2 bunny...just too adorable, a seriously cute rabbit!
We went to the Humane Society today to pick out a dog (I'll tell you all about it later this week) and guess what they had sitting out back...yep, bunny #4...we pick it up Monday!
What I want to know is who can't keep a rabbit? Heck they hardly cost anything to feed, don't need to be taken for a walk, don't bark at the neighbors, don't scratch up the legs of the dining room table...
How can someone get a bunny and then decide that it is just to much bother to keep?
There are two doors into our Humane Society, one to drop off and one to adopt...one for losers and one for us animal lovers...
That may not be politically correct to say but it is how I feel...
And I'm not apologizin'
