My garden is surrounded on all sides by open fields, they are full of grasses and wildflowers. In the summer the wind blows them in waves and I smile...
What amazes me is that even after over a week of bitter cold and temperatures that have not been above freezing that the fields and meadows can still be just as stunning and still bring a smile to my face!
These photos were all taken at sunrise one very cold morning...although my hands were numb by the time I was done it was so worth the trip outside.
The sun was just peeking over the tops of the fir trees on the east edge of the pasture. The air was perfectly still not so much as a whisper of wind. The whole valley lay peacefully under its glistening blanket of frost.
Who knew that these were the lovely remnants of these...
They seem to be still reaching upwards into the blue sky trying to capture the sun.
Even when finished for the season, when dried and gone...nature is still a wonder!
So here is my challenge for you today...
Go out and find something beautiful in nature that brings a smile to your face...
Its out there...
You've just got to look!
