When the kids an I were outside the other day I looked up towards the house from the garden where I was weeding.
This is what I saw...
Baby Boy had fallen off the edge of the back patio and was pinned under his Big Wheel.
What was strange is that he was not crying or complaining. No he was just laying there under his toy staring into the grass...
Hey little man whatcha lookin' at?
Me see caterpwillar...
See wook!
Mama he tickles!
My wuv caterpwillars!
Me too baby...
Me keep him?
No sweetie, he belongs outside in the grass.
OK mama, me put him back in him home.
That's a good idea...
Bye Bye caterpwillar...
Mama?
Yes?
Pweese get Big Wheel off me.
Chuckle...No problem!
And off he went to race his big sister to the bottom of the hill!
Can I say how much I love that kid?
Note: this is a Banded Woolly Bear Caterpillar found throughout North America all except Northern Cananda. It will become a tiger moth and live in open fields, they eat wild plants and I have never seen them on anything I've grown for food or for fun. My kids love them!
