Right now the main focus of my garden isn't actually out in the garden.
No it is right here in the house, living the life of luxury under lights, being pampered and nurtured and mindfully watched.
Right now my gardening life centers around starting seeds and taking tender care of seedlings. I just potted up my tomatoes...72 of them to be exact! Heirloom, plum, cherry, beefsteak, currant...love them all!
As I try to avoid using peat moss when I can I have switched to coir pots...they are made from a waste product from the processing of coconut.
Here is a great post on peat moss and reasons to try to find another medium.
My cute little vegetable sink now is my seed starting station.
And my whole kitchen smells like wet soil...which I personally find lovely...hubby not so much!
So far I have started tomatoes, peppers, basil, eggplant, greens, lettuce, and broccoli....
The table in my sun-room is full. Next I will fill the bay window in the kitchen.
After that I will again whine that I really, really need a greenhouse!
Are you a seed starter? If so do you find your house covered with little trays of seeds or do you have a greenhouse?
Either way if you have a post or pictures of any seed starting adventures I would love to come visit if you leave a link in your comments!
