I am also pleased as punch to announce our next judge...there is a mom of 4 who is a ton of fun, loves to garden, AND is a professional photographer! She is Ashley of Ashley Ann Photography and frankly she rocks! She recently did a gardening post that made me smile from ear to ear...now that is getting your kids out in the garden...seriously go check out her new raised beds! Don't forget to come back though...you could get lost over there in all the fun projects and cute kids! Thanks Ashley

Last week I wanted you all to put your thinking caps on and let us in on the plans you have for getting your kids involved in the garden.
As you remember Sweet Girl decided she wanted a maze.
After much thinking I decided I didn't want to purchase any materials for this, just seeds. So here is what we have come up with.
I have a roll of 6' tall fencing and will secure it into the ground with metal fence posts. It will be in a swirl pattern with an open space in the middle for playing/picnicking/sleeping...one can dream of children napping in the garden can't one?
This should be simple to put up and plant, I'm still thinking about exactly where to put it...I think next to the chicken yard might be fun...or in the middle of the melon patch. Then again little ones might be too tempted to pick any unripened melons. It would be a crime if I didn't get to have this again this year...
But I digress...
So next week we will have a place picked out and cleared the fence will be up and peas planted...well those are the plans anyway!
I also will have a book review of by Monika Hanneman from the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens
So what have you come up with? Please...do tell!
(Follow the instructions on the link button below. Put in the url to your kinderGARDEN post not your main blog or we won't see your specific post. Make sure to add your name. Last step will be to pick a picture to share here as a thumbnail. I did the first one today to see if it works and let you know what it will look like)
