OK...how did you all let me forget?
I forgot 2 things... first I forgot what day of the week it was and didn't post my KinderGARDENS post yesterday because I though yesterday was Wednesday. I spent all day in the garden happily unaware that I had completely and thoroughly forgotten what day it was.
Secondly...
Remember the drawing for the wonderful book 'Sunflowers Houses' by our lovely judge Sharon Lovejoy?
Well I do have a winner...have had for a couple of weeks now...ughh I'm such a flake!
Our winner is...
Michele over at Mother of Pearls and & an Emerald. If you haven't had a chance to check out her tunnel with a hopscotch game inside you really should...it rocks! So Michele if you email me at [email protected] and give me your address I will ship it right to ya...congrats!
I am so sorry...I sooo very much look forward do seeing your gardens each week. I promise not to forget which day it is again. Well I'll try anyway!

So how was your week? We finally got a little sun...a little...but I won't complain because it didn't rain every day!
In fact all these photos were taken last night at almost 9pm...explains why the kids are in their pj's!!!
Although not sure what would explaing the silly behavior every time I take out my camera...ahem.
They take after my husband's side of the family for sure...mine is too dignified for hanging out in the pasture, in our pajamas, for the whole world to see. Nope never would do that!
Everything so so ethereal just as the sun is dipping behind the fir covered hills...yes farmers can use words like 'ethereal'...whether we are exactly sure of their meaning or not!
e·the·re·al/iˈTHi(ə)rēəl/Adjective
2. Heavenly or spiritual: "ethereal, otherworldly visions".
Our vocabulary word of the day...go and use it and see how it fits ya!
I cannot get over how fast mint grows...I am so glad it is in my old but or I'm pretty sure it would have taken over at least half the garden!
I've had this old bed stored away for years and years...I conceived my third son in this bed. Well not just me...I had help. Sorry, too much information?
I haven't built the box for it yet, therefore it has not been planted, therefore Baby Boy had deemed it his personal jungle gym...he was not conceived in this bed so its ok!
Moving on.
We planted corn and beans yesterday. I learned my lesson from last year...wait to plant beans or they will rot...3 times! I have never grown corn en masse so keep your finders crossed for me!
en masse/än ˈmas/
Adverb: In a group; all together
Just call me Webster...feeling the vocabulary groove!
This is my favorite photo for a long time...you know I say that all the time. But it is...very ethereal!
I love this photo...it is one of my very favorites...ahem.
Chives...God love 'em!
So lets recap our week...
Laundry, dishes, snotty noses, dirty feet, not to mention, forgetfulness...
Chives blooming, potatoes sprouting, peas climbing, squash creeping, people gardening.
It has been a good week!
Dear Lord thank your for giving us this earth to dig in, cry over, find peace in, and eat from...we are indeed blessed beyond measure.

I'm keeping the links up an extra day due to my...brain fart!
