Silent Saturday Sunrise

Last week we covered sunset...today sunrise.

I know...shocking!

I must say that sunrise is absolutely my favorite time of the day.  So much potential at sunrise.  So many things I'm going to accomplish.  So many adventures to go on!

 

 

 

Besides its fun to watch God paint the sky!

(Note none of the colors in these have been edited...they are just as I saw them!)

We haven't had any snow yet here...lots of rain...lots of wind...an more rain!

So I am reaching back into the archives to refresh my memory what the white stuff looks like!

Silent Saturday Let the Sun go Down

Welcome to another addition of Silent Saturday where it is a little less talk and a lot more action...in the case of today's post its action taken at sundown.

When God paints the sky with breathtaking splendor!

All these were taken from my back porch within the last couple of weeks and the only alterations done to the photos was cropping...the colors are just as God rendered them!

There are sunsets who whisper a good-by.

It is a short dusk and a way for the stars.

Prairie and sea rim they go level and even.

And the sleep is easy...

Silent Saturday is coming up Winter Roses

Roses are magnificent in the spring and summer...

But there is something about a rose in winter that is hauntingly beautiful... 

 

These look like they have been dusted with powdered sugar. 

Such a delicate flower for such a heavy burden...

Hmmm kind of like me...all sweet and delicate burdened by a tomato eating camel and rose eating goats.  Yes it is a heavy burden I bear...but bear it I must.

Stop laughing...this is a serious post about beauty and such! Hmmfff...

Yes I will say it again, I am a delicate flower...

A delicate flower that just happens to be a little crusty around the edges, but delicate none the less...

Silent Saturday November Photos

Welcome to another addition of 'Silent Saturday'

The day when all is silent here on the blog, no poems, no stories, not random musings...

Nope nothing but peace and quiet.

Shhhhhhh....

Yes I can be still...

Sometimes...

Once every seven days on Saturday.

All the photos were taken this month...

Thus the 'November Photos' in the title...not very original but to the point.

I could have titled it 'November Nonsense' or something silly like that but I didn't think of it until I had already typed in the title...and frankly I was to lazy to go up and change it...

Ok, I'll shut up now...

Silent Saturday Out of the Blue!

Well I have used just too many words this week...I am sure that your ears are tired.

So with your ears in mind I will take pity on you and make this Silent Saturday post nearly...but not quite wordless.

Because wordless is just not in my vocabulary...

Can wordless be in a vocabulary since it is without words?

Hmmm something to ponder...

Our valley just before sunrise enveloped in fog...this is the view from my back porch.  Glad those are trees and not skyscrapers!

Two weeks in a row there has been a theme...man you almost think I was organized or something.

So I'm not organized I just am at the lake, right now...as you are reading this!

We are all getting some much needed family/nature time.

Silent Saturday The Camel Edition

Here we are again on a Saturday and all is silent here at the farm...well except for the rooster, the kids and the dog!

I usually do a completely random group of photos...but today for your viewing pleasure it is all Gizmo all the time!  Today is the day for all kinds of strange costumes and I figure none stranger than the sight I see every day out my window!

Oh, I almost forgot...I'm over at Not Dabbling in Normal today with a post about a child's hand.  Yes a child can learn a lot from playing in the dirt and feeding watermelon to a camel!

Silent Saturday...

Since I have the Friday Funnies it seemed logical to me to have the Silent Saturdays...

Why? You ask... I do not see the logic.

You don't?

Well there is not really any logic per say...

It is just that I have so many darn pictures...

And Saturdays are usually kind of busy around my house...

And I don't get a lot of visitors here on the blog on this day...

And I wouldn't want to waste my precious words when no one is listening...

That would be too much like my real life...

So I am instituting

Silent Saturdays...

Yes a day with a little less talk and a lot more action...action photos...and still photos...and critter photos...and kid photos...and old photos...

Random photos that have no reason to be together than besides I like 'em.

We will see how many Saturdays in a row I can be quiet...

Starting next week

Because, well I have not been too silent today...

According to the men in my life I have actually never really been silent...

Except when I have been under for surgery or something...

But for some reason they don't think that counts...

 

I think that should count...
